Asian Champion Miu Hirano

Seventy-year-old Miu Hirano became the 2017 Asian Table Tennis Champion in Wuxi, China. She was the youngest champion ever and the first Japanese to win in 20 years.

What made this win historical was that she beat three top Chinese player straight, ranked No 1, 2 and 5. She totally knocked out Chinese table tennis kingdom this time. One of the Chinese players she won was the Olympic champion in Rio de Janeiro. Miu couldn't play at Rio, but after that she put herself in the hard situation, taking part in the Chinese Super League. That made her really aggressive player.

Chiba prefectural police has arrested 46-year-old neighbor man after killed young Vietnamese elementary school girl in the prefecture. He is the president of parents' association at the elementary school. He also took part in a volunteer guard group for the students as they walked to school. That must not be.

Grammar and Vocabulary

I'm reading two English reading comprehension books now. I'm learning sentence structures and grammar rules in these books. And I'm trying to build English vocabulary, too. I didn't like learning English in that way, but I changed my mind. And that has brought me clear understanding English sentences more then before.

Grammar and vocabulary are fundamental matters for learning languages especially for adult learners. Adults cannot get grammar rules and vocabulary automatically. Children might be able to do so.

Mao Asada Retires

Japan's top figure skater Mao Asada had a press conference for her retirement. We have been fascinated by her skating. She has been an iconic athlete in Japan.

She became the world champion three times, but unfortunately she couldn't reach Olympic gold medal. She was the silver medalist at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. I couldn't believe that the gold medal slipped out her hands at the time.

She said that she had no regrets for her long career.

North Korea "Looking for Trouble" Trump Says

President Donald Trump tweeted "North Korea is looking for trouble" on Tuesday. And continued "If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them! U.S.A".

Endorsing the tweet, Trump ordered an American aircraft carrier, Carl Vinson, to head for Korean Peninsula. If Kim Jong-un ignores U.S. warning, establishes ICBM or testing nuclear bomb, Trump could bomb immediately on North Korea's bases.

The tention has been escalating between the two countries.
